FIX Furniture Glides: מדריך רכישה בין טפלון ופומ לארצות קשות ורכות

Start by matching the glide type to your furniture leg material. For wooden legs, choose nail-in glides like the 19mm Teflon set (₪28) for secure, permanent attachment. For metal or plastic legs, screw-in glides like the 40mm set (₪42) offer the best stability under heavy loads. Self-adhesive square glides (₪34) are ideal for quick fixes on smooth surfaces where drilling isn't possible.

Consider your floor type when selecting material. Teflon (PTFE) glides are superior for hard surfaces like porcelain, ceramic, and marble, providing near-zero friction for effortless sliding. Felt pads (₪13) are better for softer floors like parquet or PVC, offering cushioning and noise reduction without scratching. Always check the diameter: larger glides (40mm) support heavier furniture like dining tables, while smaller ones (19mm) work well for chairs.

Don't overlook quantity and cost efficiency. The 24-unit nail-in pack (₪59) is the most economical for full dining sets, while the 18-unit felt pack (₪13) is perfect for budget-conscious buyers needing basic protection. Remember that all FIX PREMIUM products include a 3-year warranty, ensuring long-term reliability. If you need to rearrange furniture frequently, prioritize the lowest-friction Teflon options over felt for smoother movement.

Finally, verify installation requirements before purchasing. Nail-in glides need a hammer and pre-drilled holes for best results, screw-in types require a screwdriver, and self-adhesive pads need a clean, dry surface. For heavy cabinets or tables, always opt for screw-in or nail-in glides to prevent loosening over time. When in doubt, choose the larger diameter option for better weight distribution and floor protection.
